Bubs - Skittles

In 2020 I began releasing music mononymously under the name, Bubs.
​
Following my time at JWT and prior to joining VIBRANT, I wrote "Skittles" - a song about unemployment, romance, and the weird mix of feelings in between.
​
With some very talented friends, we shot this music video starring yours truly. I should warn you now, the video may contain a naked man playing a slide whistle. If you wish to avoid concern from co-workers and/or loved ones, you'll want to watch this video in solitude.

Songwriting and copywriting are of course two very different worlds, Nonetheless I love them both, and couldn't resist showing off a music video about job acquisition gone horribly awry.
My love for writing all began with my love for music. Since middle school I've been writing songs, learning new instruments, trying my best to eclipse Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Still workin on that.
Over the last couple years I've learned how to self-produce my music. I bought a crusty old cassette recorder off Kijiji, fell in love and never looked back. Since then, I've put together a full-analog studio in my room. It's my pride and joy.
